Auto-Debit System® (Frictionless Payments)

FAQ: Can I charge a patient's bank account (EFT)?

Last updated on 12 Sept, 2025

Yes. You can direct debit a patient's bank account. This is called an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All you will need is the routing number & account number.

*Note: Do NOT use the numbers from a deposit slip- these are not the correct numbers!

Canadian offices: This is listed as DD/EFT in the Virtual Terminal and Auto-Debit Scheduler.
