E-Sign: How to store signatures on file using Scriptel EasyScript

Last updated on 13 Sept, 2025

The EZ- Pay SOF (EZ Payment Signature On File Form) is a simple-to-use form that allows you to store your clients' signatures on file for all of their one-time payments using the Simple Swiper, EZ Swiper, Virtual Terminal, and the direct Billing Vault (without needing them to sign a receipt every time they make a payment). This can only be used with the newest version of the Auto-Debit System and either of our Scriptel EasyScript devices. If you'd like to update your account to the newest version, please send an email to support@cashpractice.com.

The instructions below review where this can be signed and how it is stored:

Payment tools/Receipt:

Anytime a one-time payment receipt from any of our payment tools is loaded on the screen, and we do not already have a signature on file for the card/bank account used, you will see a button that says [New EZ Pay SOF].

This will then generate a page where a team member may add the dollar amount the patient authorizes transactions up to. Then click the [Generate EZ-Pay Auth Form].

In the image example below, our patient, Joseph, is authorizing one-time transactions with his signature on file for up to $200. If this amount is exceeded, a notice box will appear for whoever is running the payment. As well as the system will still allow you to run the bank account or card for more than $200, but the patient will be prompted to sign the receipt authorizing it as the form we have on file will not cover this.

The form will then be generated as seen below. You will use the Scriptel EasyScript device by selecting [Start], having the patient sign, and then pressing [OK].
